Unafuu | Deep Tissue Massage

Unafuu is the Swahilli word for ‘Relief’. This massage technique uses the same kneading and stroking movements as a Swedish massage, but there is more pressure to access deeper layers of musculature. The therapeutic style can still have an overall relaxing effect, while also increasing vitality and providing relief from pain. This type of massage is often slower in pace than swedish, as moving too fast during a deep tissue massage could cause some discomfort. It can reduce pain, improve blood pressure, break up scar tissue and rehabilitate injured muscles. A highly recommended massage technique for athletes, runners or people with injuries/chronic back pain! Modesty is always preserved and draping is always required.
